29th September 2014...unfortunately, we have no photos to show you of today, which is a shame as they are fab...(they are stuck on Simon's laptop until we can get it fixed...but here is a brief run down anyway...
Having spent the night just outside of Sagres....overlooking the harbour....we decided that we would head into the town to try and find some information about local walks etc. unfortunately, when we arrived at the tourist info it was closed, so we headed for the nearest cafe...called the "Hangout" and had a slap up breakfast.
We had thought we would walk the few miles to Cape st Vincente and back, but when we realised that it was just along the road we decided to give it a miss and drive there instead...this is the most Westerly part of Europe.
It was then another off road day....lots of unpaved roads ....taking us to many view points along the cliffs. The cliffs and beaches were stunning.....reminding us very much of North Cornwall..which we both love.
Laundry was on our minds today and we found a village "laundry" in which to do our washing....yes, you've guessed it....a little roofed building with large sinks and taps...! As well as doing the essential washing, we also used our shower pump and a tank full of water and cleaned ourselves too!!!
We eventually came to rest today at a beach called Praia de Cordoama.....actually it was the end of another dirt track right on the beach! We strung up a washing line, hung out our washing, and Ta dah...we were at home!
