Ferraguado, Lagos and Sagres

[caption id="attachment_2665" align="aligncenter" width="640"]September 28th 2014IMG_5537 "Good Morning!" Last night we found a place to camp right next to the river here at Ferraguado. We weren't sure what to expect when we awoke this morning, but this is a lovely surprise! Across the river..to the right of this picture ....is Portimao.[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_2669" align="aligncenter" width="640"]IMG_5543 Breakfast was calling in the town...so we parked on the hill and walked down into the maze of little streets. You very much got the feel that this is town has great community...there were fishing nets and lobster pots laid out all along the waterfront, the locals were all gathering for their Sunday morning coffee in their favourite bars, a chef was starting a huge big BBQ on the riverside, in readiness for the hungry hoardes looking for freshly cooked fish.....[/caption]

Unfortunately, this is where we have a couple of days photos stuck on Simons computer until we can get it fixed on our return...it's a real shame! Once we had had our coffee and caught up with some wifi jobs, we walked around the corner from the bar and found a gorgeous little beach with a castle on it.....also, a row of tumbling down, but still gorgeous in their roughness, "beach cum fishermen's huts". The sun was just coming up over the hill and the orange/red rocks just bean to glow....hopefully photos to come soon.

We moved on from here to Lagos...another beautiful town on yet another river...and then to Sagres where we found a wonderful place to camp...overlooking the harbour. It was made all the more cosy by the many candles that we lit and put along the waters edge...just perfect!
