Homps is another canal side village, with little cafes lining the banks and many boats and barges moored up alongside.
Bluebelle was parked under a shady tree and we set off back up the canal towards where we turned around yesterday...we almost made it back to the same place, but felt we really had seen enough, wanted lunch and also were keen to cycle more towards Le Somail....in the other direction.
Here is our day in pictures....

One of the things that we don’t have any photos of is the scary wildlife that we have seen....Several times I have almost careered straight into the back of Simon when he has stopped abruptly to let a snake slither across the path in front of him.....having a wee in the grass has now become a risky thing to do!!!
Our stop for the night is on the canal near St Nazaire-d’Aude....probably one of our favourite stops. It’s quiet, has far reaching views over the mountains and vineyards, the sunset’s stunning, the light through the vine leaves makes them glow and the canal is alive with colour!
OK I'm not reading any more of these blogs - they are making us way too jealous and our little trips in Winnie down the coast seem pathetic!! Have fun .... Luv Helen & Adam xxx
