KNOCK KNOCK!!! it was 8.30am and Jane letting us know that the VNF had very kindly agreed to open a couple of locks today to enable their barge to be refloated and move out of the dry dock up to the village...so are we able to help.....YES!

A quick coffee and croissant and we are ready. The weather is a bit rainy and yuk, but nothing can dampen our spirits! A very happy BT as you can see...

John and Jane have very kindly invited us to dinner tonight....a bribe to stay on until tomorrow and help with the barge yet again....no bribe needed, but dinner would be lovely...”Thankyou!”
We decided to pop back to Bezier to have a look around this afternoon. After parking on the quay we walked into the city...but seemed to find the dodgy area of town to walk through (lots of young guys hanging around with nothing to do).....both of us thinking how we might defend ourselves if we were attacked. No need to worry though...we made it safely, found a coffee stop and had a wander around.

Our evening with John, Jane and Sophie was just lovely....scrummy food and great company. Plans were made for tomorrow and we set off to a spot by the canal for the night.
Following your progress - the canal trip looked idyllic, very envious. Love to both, Tony and Diana
ReplyDeleteHello both....thus far we have had a great time. The Dutch barge trip was a real treat...Simon was in his element as you can imagine!! Hope you are both well. Lots of love BT and Billy xxx
