Market day in Moissac today. Simon rode off to get croissant whilst I made coffee.

We sat outside overlooking the canal eating breakfast this morning before making our way to the market which is a bustling riot of colour....flowers, vegetables, etc..

Pictures are only one dimension...what we can’t express through the photos is the hustle and bustle of activity. This isn’t a tourist market, this is for the locals...and they were all out today...catching up, drinking together, chatting, laughing...

a little girl catching bubbles, the old folk passing the time of day, baskets brimming with fresh fruit and veg, flowers spilling over, jolly umbrellas flapping in the breeze...such a privilege to feel so much a part of this...we are really not sure how we are ever going to tear ourselves away from Moissac and move on!
The abbey and cloisters are a famous part of Moissac...we really can’t leave without a quick look around....

This afternoon we have been sitting by the canal, eating lunch, chatting, snoozing, blogging and watching the world go by! Bliss.
Absolutely beautiful! I'm devouring each of your posts and living vicariously!! Good to see both of you looking so happy and relaxed :-)
ReplyDeleteLots of love xxx
Thanks Wendy...we are having a great time. Hope you're plans for USA are all coming together. Lots of love xxxx
ReplyDeleteNot jealous, not in the slightest. No, not at all envious, not a bit. Definitely wouldn't want to have to endure what you're both going through. Poor you, it looks so awful, having to visit those disgustingly beautiful towns, force down terribly tasty treats and take in the achingly gorgeous scenery...
ReplyDelete... No, it's no good, no matter how much I try to persuade myself, it looks like you're having an utterly FABULOUS time and, I admit it, I wish I was there too!
Loads of love, M xxx
SO much to take in! I can smell the coffee, hear the market sounds and taste the croissants! Thank you so much for keeping us up to the minute with your journey. Good thing you are doing all that cycling with SO many croissants!! Love and hugs. Mum xxx
