Finding Dali

Saturday 24th May 2104

We awoke this morning to beautiful sunshine…blue skies, turquoise sea and just a slight breeze….absolutely beautiful! It's just the sort of weather to see this stunning area in.

We took breakfast and coffee outside, found ourselves a cosy nook out of the breeze, basked in the sun and just absorbed the awesome views. The sunlight twinkled on the water, boats of all kinds came out to play and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of it all...

After a lazy morning drinking in the views, sun and tranquility, we wiggled our way back towards Cadeques…. we found a carpark next to the beach at Port lligat, parked up and walked over the hill into town. On our way, however we walked into Cala Dali…this is where the artist resided for some time. His house is easily recognisable as it has a couple of giant eggs and two heads on top of it!!!

As you can see, it has been a relaxing day, but filled with many more happy memories.

  3. Hello Billy & BT. Great to read your blog and enjoying seeing your excellent photos, you nearly got the name of the bug, it's a Hummingbird Hawk Moth.
Wish we were still in Spain or France, quite envious of you.
Keep the news and photos coming.
    Very best wishes

  5. Hi Yvonne.
Hope your both well and Simon is having a good trip on the little boat!.
The wedding is on the 4th July, Di starting to panic a bit now but I am sure she will get everything sorted, she is doing lots off flower arrangements for the wedding, she is gardening this week while we have this great weather.
Not sure about a trip abroad but we are planning a trip in July to go to Portsmouth, Plymouth then on our route north a few days in Liverpool to see the giants, we missed them last time.
When do you start travelling again?
Take care and send regards to Simon. XX
