Leaving Puerto Soller

Friday 11th July 2014

A quick dash into port to drop of rubbish, fill water containers and say our goodbyes to Gilly, Duncan and Pat and then it was time to leave. Everything was stowed away, we took our last look towards Soller and headed slowly out to sea....

we said we would follow the wind so with the wind in the north west we turned east and headed towards Puerto Pollenca. We had a fabulous sail along the rugged northern Mallorca coast and, after 25 miles, turn into Pollenca bay where the wind died away to give us a lovely evening anchored in Cala Engossaubas just a few miles short of Pollenca.

We spent the afternoon snorkelling with the many fish that surrounded the boat…just like swimming in an aquarium!

Two hours later, John and Gilly arrived and anchored in the bay….it was great to see them.

As we drifted off to sleep the crackly sound of fish nibbling at the hull of the boat could be heard…it's a strange sensation!!
