Port (Colom) in a storm...

Saturday 19th July 2014

It was obviously rough out at sea today......we woke to calm and quiet around us...just a few other yachts at anchor, but it wasn’t long before the whole of Porto Colom was bobbing about around us. The bumpy sea and strong winds have driven all the families to find a calm spot inside the harbour to anchor their small day boats and swim, eat and sleep!....we were surrounded...but it was fun...we just jloined in with the sun bathing, eating and sleeping and had a very relaxed day!

We dragged ourselves away from the cocktail bar only to bump into Dave and Pat...long standing sailing friends of Simons....!! It would have been rude to pass on by, so we gatecrashed their meal and shared a beer with them whilst we caught up with family news etc...It’s a small world!
