BT had always wanted to take me to Es Trenc beach...for the beauty of the sand, the beach bar etc.... Its a long sandy beach littered with colourful sunshades, cool beach bars, palm tree canopies and beautiful white sand which extends nearly a mile out to sea, giving the water an amazing light blue colour....it’s a place that is loved and favoured by many.

After breakfast we sailed the short distance to Es Trenc and anchored in beautiful water over sand, put the flags up and canoed to the beach bar almost immediately. We couldn’t resist a beer and some food...BT’s favourite...prawns in hot oil and garlic, mussels and chips.

We sat at a beachside table, looking out across the azure blue towards Windekind, listening to cool, ‘chillin’ Ibizan music, sand between our toes, fresh sea air in our lungs and the wind in our hair.....a perfect moment! By the way, the prawns were to die for and the mussels just divine...Alfonso used to say that all you need is a small boat (because it will fit in any small space!) and a credit card...and to be fair, the food and drinks were not expensive,,,you’d probably pay more in a cafe at a Cornish beach than we did here. It was hard to finally leave...we really did have to drag ourselves away, but with a promise to return again one day!
With our tummies full and in need of some exercise (or we would have fallen asleep on deck) we took Mango Tango out for a sail along the beach. We followed Patrick’s example and used our sunshade as a sail...it worked a treat and we bombed along...coming back however was a different matter altogether...into wind and waves...much harder work...and much wetter!!! A great adventure was had by all though!

The rest of the afternoon was spent in blissful relaxation (sleep) onboard. We watched a wedding party at one of the beach bars enjoy the last of the sun and then took in the spectacular sunset before retreating to our bed. Another very special day had by all.
