Preparations...

Friday 25th July 2014

With the lure of Ibiza on our minds we felt we should refuel Windekind and stock up with supplies. Having looked at the weather online we felt that this weekend would present the perfect opportunity to go. This would be a big trip for us....when Simon works on Bubbles, the journey takes about 4 hours, but for us, in Windekind, it would take more than 15. So after a walk along Es Trenc we headed back to the port at Sant Jordi to make our preparations. It was the smallest fuel quay you have ever seen, so maneuvering Windekind to come alongside was more than a little challenging, but BT, with all his skill and expertise managed it perfectly. Once refuelled and our water tanks replenished, we anchored just outside the port and went ashore for supplies.

Our evening with Pilar and Toni was fantastic. We were able to have a proper shower, get some washing done and were treated to a scrumptious meal out....and our first taste of sangria.....could easily become another favourite of ours! During the course of the evening we were invited to spend the day with the family tomorrow...a trip out on their boat to Cabrera...how could we refuse...a chance to return to paradise and with very special people. It’s amazing how life can change in an instant...meeting new people, opportunities opening up and new adventures to be had...what a privilege it is.
